]]>Surrounding Yuma are such magnificent sites as the Imperial sand dunes with majestic windswept vistas, where thrill seekers come to chase danger and models come to enhance the beauty. The Salton Sea where northern birds flock in the winter and the sea is so salty that its bizarre beauty is wrapped in the misery of a mostly deserted landscape. Castle Dome formed by volcanic activity eons ago can be seen from more than fifty miles away and the famous Yuma Prison stands on a hill overlooking the winter vegetable capitol of the world.
